An honest health check
What is working, what is switched off, what is set up wrongly and what it is costing you.
The platform is rarely the problem. It was set up to copy the old way of working, half of it was never switched on, and the data behind it is not trusted. We get real value from the system you already pay for, whichever one it is. For CHROs, Chief People Officers, HR Directors and Heads of People in companies of roughly 100 to 1,000 people.
You have a modern platform and a team still working in spreadsheets. Reports get exported and rebuilt. Managers avoid it. Somebody suggests it might be time to look at replacing it.
Before you spend that money again, it is worth knowing what this one can actually do. In most cases the answer is a great deal more than it is doing now.
Independent advice. We are not paid by any platform to tell you what to think.
What is working, what is switched off, what is set up wrongly and what it is costing you.
Definitions, ownership and structure, so the reports finally agree with each other.
One page for the board, one view per manager, and an end to rebuilding by hand.
If the platform genuinely cannot do the job, we will say so and help you choose the next one.
A short review with a costed list of fixes at the end of it.
Configuration, data, adoption, reporting and integrations, against how you now work.
We fix the setup, tidy the data and turn on what you are already paying for.
Simple ownership, a review rhythm and a team who know how to run it.
One version of the truth, wherever it is pulled from.
Steps carried by the system instead of by your team.
A tool that helps them rather than something to get round.
Value from the licence you already hold.
Confidence about whether to keep it or move on.
Before you replace it, find out what it can really do.
Most platforms are running at a fraction of what they were bought for.
Start with a health check across configuration, data quality, adoption and reporting, measured against how you work now rather than how you worked when it went in. Most companies find unused modules, duplicate manual steps and a data problem behind the reporting complaints.
Optimise first unless there is a genuine structural limit, such as the platform not supporting your entities, contract types or countries. Replacing a system costs far more than fixing one, and a fresh implementation on the same processes usually repeats the same result.
HiBob, where we are a certified Advisory Partner, plus Sage People, Dayforce, Factorial, PeopleXD, Ciphr, Workday, SuccessFactors, TeamTailor and others. Our approach does not change with the platform, so our advice on fit stays independent.
Usually because more than one team owns the same field, definitions were never written down, and changes are entered without validation. It is a process problem showing up as a data problem.
A health check takes two to four weeks. The fixes are usually sequenced over a quarter, starting with the ones that release the most manual work.
